World Broomball Tournament 2010

If you are interested in going to the Worlds International Broomball Tournament in Innsbruck Austria in Nov 2010.(IBFA), or if you are just interested in finding out more about the tournament there will be a meeting for all to attend on:

Pacific Rim Tournament in Sydney, Australia

Broomball Australia has invited Yukon Broomball teams and players to the Pacific Rim Tournament held in Sydney Australia from September 8th to September 12, 2009.  
 
The Pacific Rim tournament is open to all broomball players and teams from around the world and will be the second international tournament held in Australia.
 
Dates: Tuesday 8th to Saturday 12th September 2009
Divisions:  Men's and Ladies
Entry Fee: To be confirmed, but will be similar to 2007 which was AU$1100/mens team (CA$1020); AU$900/ladies team (CA$840)
Hotels/Accommodation: Looking at approximately AU$33-$60 per night per person with options for family, quad, triple, double and twin share rooms.  See hotel link on website for tournament hotel information. 
Contacts: Cory Skilton (Broomball Australia Secretary) cory@broomball.com.au or Saxon Hooper (Tournament Director) saxon@broomball.com.au.  Further information available on official website http://www.pacificrim.broomballaustralia.org/ , this will be updated frequently in the months leading up to the tournament. 
 
There will be room for individuals to play if a full team cannot go.  There are also opportunities to play broomball around Australia if people are interested.  Are you interested in going to Australia for this once-in-a-lifetime broomball holiday?  If so, let your Executive know.

Cut-off Temperature

Just a reminder that the cutoff temp is -25 C, one hour before game time. We don't play at -25, at -24 we do play. We go by the temperature listed on the weather channel, channel 23.
